WARM SPICE HALLOUMI BITES Crispy halloumi served with a Caribbean pepper dip

12 mins Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 250g halloumi, cut into 12–16 cubes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

  • Pinch of black pepper

  • 4 tbsp Greek yogurt or sour cream

  • 2 tsp Nimi Nosh Authentic Pepper Sauce

  • Juice 1⁄2 lime

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: cilantro, spring onions, lime wedges, extra pepper sauce

    Method

    1. Pat halloumi cubes dry.

    2. Mix yogurt, pepper sauce, lime, garlic, and salt for dip.

    3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan; fry half halloumi 1–2 mins per side until golden. Remove and keep

      warm.

    4. Fry remaining halloumi with remaining oil.

    5. Optional: drizzle honey over hot bites.

    6. Serve with dip, garnish with cilantro, spring onions, lime, and extra pepper sauce.
